TECHNOLOGICAL PROBLEMS OF CONTAINERIZATION IN THE TRANSPORTSECTOR

Abstract

The author of the article addresses the topic of container cargo transportation, which is
actively used in different parts of the world for the transportation of goods by all types of transport.
Container cargo transportation has become an integral part of any large logistics company, since the
delivery of this type of goods allows you to solve a wide range of problems. Containers ensure the
safety of service personnel during increment work at ports and transfer bases, and also ensure the
safety of cargo regardless of weather conditions and possible force majeure situations. This article
has developed an analytical review of the problems of container transportation and proposed possible
ways to solve them. The statistical data of the volume of container transfers for 2013-2023 were
analyzed, the main advantages of containerization of cargo were given, and the classification of
container types depending on their purpose was established.
