The article is dedicated to the study of architectural and construction features of the Ilisu
State Historical and Cultural Preservation. The study of landscape and natural surroundings of Ilisu
demonstrates characteristic features of spatial composition of the village, its architectural planning
structure, along with specific features of the usage of construction materials, interior design and
decorations. The author emphasizes the residential houses in the Garadolag neighborhood,
specifically the Gojayevs’ house, the Karimovs’ house, the Khalilovs’ house, the Alimovs’ house,
the Hasilovs’ house as the most prominent architectural monuments of the village due to their
architecture and aesthetics. The author also notes that these residential houses and other architectural
monuments are built from local construction materials – stone, river cobblestone, calcimine, burnt
brick, while the roofs are covered with tile. The article emphasizes that the Ilisu State Historical and
Cultural Preservation reflects the architectural features of Azerbaijan, while also distinguishing itself
for its unique architectural style.
