STUDY OF THE COMPOSITION OF CONSTRUCTION MORTARS USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF SHAHBULAQ FORT

Abstract

 It is known that the use of materials with different physical and mechanical properties during restoration can cause defects to appear in the monument. For this reason, the material to be used in the restoration of historical monuments should be closer to the original. Samples were taken from the original solution of the castle and its chemical and mineralogical composition was studied. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that lime-gypsum or lime-late solutions were used in the construction of the Castle. According to the results of both visual and chemical and mineralogical analysis, it can be said with certainty that limestone powder was used as a fine filler in the solution mixture.
