STUDENT EXPEDITION ORGANIZED IN KHOJALY CITY IN 1991 AND ITS RESULTS

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the results of the work done by a group of student-architects in 1991 in Khojaly and Aghdam regions. The main purpose of the expedition was to select a site for the construction of a memorial fountain designed in the name of the martyred student of AzUAC Fuad Babayev, to coordinate the construction work with local organizations of Khojaly. During their stay in Khojaly, the members of the expedition fulfilled the tasks set before them. The article also presents materials collected by members of the expedition on the Khoja Ali tomb, Askeran Fortress located in and around Khojaly, on mosques and ancient bathhouses located in Gulabli and Abdal Gulabli villages of Aghdam. At the end of the article, as a result, the tasks ahead were identified and suggestions were made for the restoration and use of these monuments.
