NATURAL-ECOLOGICAL FRAMEWORK AS THE BASIS OF SUSTAINABLE URBANDEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The article explores the challenges and opportunities involved in integrating a naturalecological
framework into the urban planning structures of modern cities. Green spaces today serve
not only as ecological assets but also as vital socio-economic resources. By implementing a welldesigned
natural-ecological framework, cities can achieve sustainable, adaptable, and resilient
planning structures. The article highlights successful examples of ecological-urban frameworks in
international cities, illustrating their practical benefits. With a thoughtful approach to urban planning,
the natural-ecological framework can become a cornerstone for the sustainable development of
Azerbaijani cities.
