Abstract

Graphene 3D printing is an encouraging technology for sustainable and smart building construction. Graphene and its derivatives increase the thermal, mechanical, electrical, and rheological properties of printed cementitious and geopolymer materials. They increase interlayer bonding, printability, durability, crack resistance, and thermal performance while permitting the self-sensing competencies. This review describes important 3D printing methods, constructional applications, existing developments, and challenges, comprising rheological optimization, graphene dispersion, and standardization. Briefly, the graphene-based 3D printing delivers a strong prospect for durable, lightweight, energy-effective, and low-carbon future building construction.
