Abstract

When the rolling stock moves on the rail, the weight of the wheel pairs is distributed to the rail from there to the sleepers and finally to the ballast layer. These forces distributed in the ballast layer are directly transmitted to the  main pitch of the soil bed. For this reason, the pressure forces generated on the upper surface of the main site are distributed downwards from the soil bed and disappear gradually. Constant repetition of movement creates deformations in the soil bed. The main reason for the formation of deformations is the effect of the moving composition. At the same time, depressions, swellings, collapses, falls, landslides occur in the soil bed due to the influence of natural factors. Landslides, scattering, and collapse occur at the base or slopes of the soil bed under the vibrating load. In the article, the stress curve created by the composition in the soil bed for the case of static and rapid movement is established. The study of the deformations caused by the stresses in the soil bed and the order of distribution of the stresses from the top to the bottom of the soil body and the reason for the formation of uneven settlements in the castings have been shown to be related to the low density of the soil.
